Local Market: Pulpi

December 16 @ 09:00 - 14:00

Pulpí’s weekly market is held every Wednesday morning and is a great excuse for a midweek wander through one of the hidden gems of northern Almería province.

From around 9am, the streets near the town centre come alive with stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, clothing, plants, household goods and seasonal bargains. It’s a friendly local market popular with both residents and visitors from surrounding towns and coastal areas.

Pulpí itself has a traditional Spanish atmosphere, with cafés around the square, local shops and a relaxed pace that makes it perfect for a browse and a coffee stop.

The town is also home to the famous Pulpí Geode — one of the largest crystal geodes ever discovered — located nearby at Mina Rica.

If you fancy a change from the bigger coastal markets, Pulpí offers a more authentic local feel and a pleasant way to spend a Wednesday morning.
